Sparkman Clark grew up between southern Connecticut and Munich, Germany, and graduated from Miss Porters School in 2011. She then went to the University of Richmond to study Theatre, Business and Creative Writing and graduated with her BA in 2015.
While in Richmond VA, Sparkman became involved with the city’s budding film industry; she worked for the Richmond International Film Festival and numerous Independent productions, while acting at the Firehouse Theatre and Modlin Center for the Arts. Her first production, “What Happens on Tinder” went viral and has 250K views.
Sparkman moved to New York City in September 2015, where she signed with Bicoastal MGMT as a model and found her current acting coach and mentor, John Anthony, with whom she continuously works on her craft.
Outside of acting, she reviewed theatre and music for The Times Square Chronicles and covered events such as the Tony Awards, the Astaire Awards and the Obie Awards. She left T2C when she began working with two-time Emmy Award Winner Tony Lo Bianco as his Production Intern. There, she helped Mr. Lo Bianco and his team at MNA Productions film and edit videos, revise his independent feature script, and get his first acting class up and running.
Sparkman’s acting and modeling career started picking up in 2016. Her work took her to Palm Desert CA, Austin TX and Barcelona, Spain. She signed with BMG Models and Avalon Artists Group for their commercial and print department. So far, she has worked with brands such as Meetic, Google Fiber, Pure Leaf, European Wax Center and Budweiser.
Theatrically, Sparkman has performed Off-Broadway at the Playroom Theatre and the June Havoc Theatre. Her favorite role thus far was as Margaret in Paperlight Theatre Company’s production of Much Ado About Nothing.
Three of Sparkman’s short films have been produced, and more are in the works. Her first music video for the talented musician Greg Oliveras was released in January 2017. Her New Media project, St. Madison, is in postproduction.
